Candle FAQs
Why is my candle tunnelling?
Tunnelling happens when the wax doesn't melt all the way to the edges during the first few burns. Allow your candle to form a full melt pool each burn to encourage an even burn over time.
Why is my candle flame smoky?
A smoky flame usually means the wick is too long. Trim the wick to 0.5cm before each burn for a cleaner, more even flame.
How long should I burn my candle for?
We recommend burning your candle until the wax melts to the edges of the vessel, up to a maximum of 4 hours at a time. As soon as it melts to the edges of the jar, extinguish the flame (this will be quicker as the candle burns lower).
Why has my wax turned slightly yellow?
Natural waxes can discolour when exposed to direct sunlight or strong lighting. This is completely normal and often returns to normal after the next burn.
Why does my candle jar feel hot?
As the candle burns lower, the vessel may become hotter. Always burn on a heat-resistant surface and allow the jar to cool completely before handling.
Can I reuse my candle jar?
Yes — our vessels are designed to be repurposed or refilled. Once your candle has finished, clean the jar thoroughly and refill it with your favourite scent.
Do I need to return my candle jar for a refill?
Yes — our candle refills require your existing vessel to be returned (cleaned) before refilling. This helps ensure the vessel is safe and ready to be reused with your new fragrance.
When should I stop burning my candle?
Discontinue use when approximately 1cm of wax remains at the bottom of the jar.
What should I do if the wick moves?
If the wick shifts after burning, gently re-centre it while the wax is still soft and before it resets. Do not relight the candle if the wick is too close to the edge of the jar.
Diffuser FAQs
How long will my diffuser last?
Diffusers typically last several months depending on room temperature, airflow, and how often the reeds are flipped.
How often should I flip the reeds?
We recommend flipping the reeds weekly to refresh and strengthen the fragrance.
My diffuser scent seems weaker — what should I do?
Flip the reeds to reactivate the fragrance. If the reeds become saturated over time, replacing them can also help improve scent throw.
Where should I place my diffuser?
Place your diffuser on a stable surface in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat, and open windows or fans.
Can diffuser oil damage surfaces?
Yes — fragrance oils may damage surfaces, furnishings, labels, or finishes if spilled. Always wipe spills immediately with a damp cloth.
Are diffuser oils flammable?
Yes — diffuser oils are highly flammable. Keep away from heat sources, sparks, and open flames.
Can I purchase refills?
Yes — diffuser refills are available so you can continue using your existing vessel and fragrance reeds.
Do I need to return my diffuser bottle for a refill?
No — Each refill comes in a convenient pouch with a fresh set of reeds, making it easy to refill your existing diffuser bottle yourself.
Room Spray FAQs
How do I use my room spray?
Shake gently before use and spray 2–3 pumps into the air to instantly refresh your space.
Can I spray it directly onto fabrics or furniture?
We recommend avoiding direct contact with fabrics, furniture, timber, painted, or delicate surfaces, as fragrance oils may cause staining or damage. Always test on an inconspicuous area first if unsure.
Why should I shake the bottle before use?
Shaking gently before use helps evenly distribute the fragrance oils for the best scent experience.
How should I store my room spray?
Store upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, and open flames. Ensure the screw top is securely tightened after each use.
Is the room spray flammable?
Yes — room sprays are highly flammable. Keep away from heat sources, sparks, and open flames.
Can the spray irritate skin or eyes?
Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. If irritation occurs, discontinue use immediately and rinse thoroughly with water if needed.
Is it safe around children and pets?
Keep out of reach of children and pets, and avoid spraying directly near them.
How long will the scent last?
Scent longevity will vary depending on room size, airflow, and the amount sprayed, but a few pumps are designed to leave your space feeling fresh and beautifully fragranced.
